Our Services

Some of the services we provide include:

Environmental impact assessments
At Envoca, we work closely with the client to determine the scope of works. For large assessments, we subcontract specialist consultants to conduct various components. Our knowledge of the industry means we get the best consultants for the job. Where required, Envoca will either write or coordinate the production of the main document and work hand in hand with the client to develop sensible mitigation measures. Using GIS we have also prepared numerous pre-feasibility EIA’s to assist clients in the planning phase.
Planning approvals
Over the past 15 years of his career, Daryl has obtained numerous planning approvals for very large projects approved at State and Commonwealth levels (Cathedral Rocks Wind Farm, Burnie to Smithton Transmission line) as well as smaller projects approved at local council level. Over this time he has built considerable experience in how to approach and negotiate with regulators and other key stakeholders. To date, he has not had a project rejected.
Route selection for linear infrastructure
Daryl has a particular passion for route selection of linear infrastructure and skilfully combines the use of (GIS), surveys, ground-trothing and landholder liaison to come up with the best option for the client, the community and the environment.
Construction environmental management
Daryl has worked on two very large projects as the construction environmental manager; the Burnett River dam (very large concrete dam set in a National Park) and more recently, the $400 million Musselroe Wind Farm. Such projects require the ability to engage and influence all levels of construction staff and to quickly find practical solutions to problems that inevitably arise.
Environmental management plans
Envoca has the capability to prepare a range of practical environmental management plans for all facets of your project including: construction, vegetation, waste, hazardous goods, fire, weeds and disease, heritage, acid sulfate soils, etc., etc.
Stakeholder consultation
Our services in this field include landholder consultation and negotiations, community liaison and networking, and analysis of community views. Prior to his career in environmental management, Daryl worked as an agronomist in both the private and public sector. This background with farmers has been invaluable when dealing with projects that involve rural landholders.
Heavy industry environmental management
Daryl spent 2 years working for Alcoa Australia across the company’s three refineries and mines. This included time acting as refinery environmental manager as well as implementing a nation-wide program to improve environmental compliance.
Environmental reporting
Whether it be regular reporting to regulators, annual environment reports or national greenhouse and energy reporting, Envoca is here to help.
Geographic Information Services (GIS)
At Envoca, we use ArcGIS software for desktop prefeasibility studies and production of maps for documents and site management. We also have a differential GPS for when accurate mapping or setting out is required. For complex GIS tasks, photomontages or 3D animation we work closely with a specialist GIS consultancy.
Secondment during periods of staff shortages
